Meet Our Nurse Practicioner

Born and raised just south of Atlanta Georgia, Andrew received his baccalaureate degree in nursing attending Georgia College & State University. As a registered nurse he received additional training and certifications in emergency medicine and critical care. At the age of twenty four he became the youngest helicopter life-flight nurse in the Georgia’s program history and served in this role for eight years. He returned to formal education obtaining his masters degree from Georgia College & State University, followed by a post masters degree from Emory University in Atlanta Georgia. As a nurse practitioner, Andrew first worked at Emory University School of Medicine, specializing in neurosurgical critical care.

After marrying, Andrew and his wife moved from Atlanta to Baton Rouge, Louisiana. While working in critical care medicine at a local hospital Andrew recognized the repeated pattern of medical care being mostly geared towards retroactive decisions and actions. However he soon realized a new passion caring for patients who valued the importance of healthy lifestyle choices, preventative measures, and living optimally.

Andrew pursued additional education and training on these very principles. He has since tailored his medical career on practicing precision medicine and individualized patient specific care; focusing on the patient’s unique needs and/or goals. Andrew currently accepts patients across the state and throughout the country as well. As a nurse practitioner, he is now considered a leader in this field of medicine and has mentored to others along the way. He has had the opportunity to educate other medical professionals and lecture on some of the most challenging cases. He has also served as adjunct faculty for Tulane University School of Medicine, training resident physicians in this growing field.
